History of Bristow, VA
A huge portion of the town of Bristow was once a part of the Ford plantation. This was owned by the Linton Family during the 18th century. It was later on sold to estate developers during the late 20th century. Bristow had several names such as Briscoe, Bristoe Station, and Bristow Station until its name was finalized by the Board on Geographic Names in 1906. At present, the place is composed of upper middle-class communities such as Bridlewood, Foxborough, and Lainier Farms
