Yes. All of our buildings are built to meet Virginia building codes. If required by your local zoning office or HOA, we can provide engineered plans for your structure for a fee.

That depends on where you live. As of 2014, the Virginia state building code does not require a building permit for a single-story storage building that is 256 square feet or less in size. However, some counties and municipalities may still require a building permit for structures under 256 square feet. In addition, zoning permits or HOA approval may be required regardless of size.

Because local requirements can vary, we strongly recommend contacting your local permitting office to confirm what is needed for your specific property before purchasing. As part of our Site Evaluation, we can also help answer questions about zoning or HOA considerations that may apply.
